Dear Friends,

I’m not going to beat around the bush. I really need your help!

You know me and you know what I stand for. The big government programs that Nancy Pelosi and my Democrat colleagues are proposing will only make South Carolina families pay even more in taxes, pay double for gas, and pay double for electric bills. We’ve got to stop jeopardizing the futures of our children and grandchildren by spending money we don’t have. I am working feverishly to help kick-start our economy and bring jobs and prosperity to those who are hurting in our society. It will take strong conservative leadership to make this happen, and that’s why you sent me to Washington.

My job is to represent the citizens of the Second Congressional District, not Nancy Pelosi or the liberal special interests. And that’s exactly why just this past week the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee announced that I am one of their top targets in 2010.

You heard that right.

National Democrats, unions, and other special interest groups are already pouring resources into South Carolina and this race. They are running false radio ads and recorded telephone messages. They know that I will work tirelessly to expose their reckless programs, and these groups will stop at nothing to attempt to win next year. They desperately want another Democrat vote to support their dangerous agenda of Big Government.

These groups are pulling out all the stops to defeat me and that’s why I need you now.

   I wouldn’t give a penny to a single Republican. As many Dems as there are that I’d like to see gone, when the leaders in your party come out and tell deliberate lies – like Virginia Foxx claiming the government is going to kill old people – and no one else in the party comes out to refute that lie, then I have no respect for anyone in the the GOP any longer.

   I have to agree with treetracker.

   I am independent and I can’t believe the things some of the GOP are saying nowadays.
   Fiscal conservatism is good and should be encouraged but lying to the American people won’t stand.
