Joe Wilson to Visit Aiken
by Joe Wilson on October 23, 2009U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson will hold a town hall meeting at an Aiken elementary school Saturday.
Mr. Wilson, whose 2nd District includes parts of Aiken County, will speak to the public at 9 a.m. at Oakwood-Windsor Elementary School, located at 3773 Charleston Highway, according to an e-mail from his press secretary Ryan Murphy.
The Republican congressman visited Aiken last month for a rally to raise funds for his re-election. His supporters feared that his outburst during President Obama’s speech on health care reform would compromise his campaign.
During the rally, he touted a reform bill drafted by Republican congress members that would reform insurance without resulting in greater debt for the country, he said.
Mr. Wilson will discuss health care and other issues during the town hall meeting.
