Despite opposition from millions of Americans, Speaker Pelosi’s health care bill contains a government-run public plan which amounts to nothing less than a government takeover of our health care. And instead of giving the American people a chance to read the bill before it is voted on, Speaker Pelosi wants to shove her health care bill through this weekend.

I am working hard to fight against this bill, but I need your help. Will you please donate to help stop PelosiCare today?

Simply put, this bill is the government interfering with the lives of the American people. With this bill, we are not only mortgaging the futures of our young people, we are jeopardizing care for our senior citizens.

If Speaker Pelosi and liberal Democrats in Congress really believe the government-run plan is best for Americans, they should enroll in it themselves. That’s why I want to require all members of Congress to receive health insurance coverage through the government-run plan proposed in the House’s reform bill.
My amendment would enroll every member of Congress in the same public plan they pass for every other American. After all, this is the people’s House.

   Joe,

   I’m sorry, and I’m a lifetime registered Republican who is ashamed of the GOP. Your irresponsible actions (and I know you’ve apologized) are inexcusable and would never have been “swept under the rug” with the last administration.

   Speaking of the last administration for 8 years prior to Obama, this is where the blame lies for mortgaging the future of our children and grandchildren. I am a proud American, father and grandfather, and I cannot stand by and take the lies perpetuated by the Republican party. These are further exacerbated by idiots like Rush Limbaugh, FOX News (which isn’t really news), Glenn Beck, and others who speak untruths and expect Republicans to blindly check their brains at the door to accept the tripe they are spewing.

   Rupert Murdoch said, “…there is no place for truth in Fox News.” Glenn Beck said, “…anyone who believes what I say is the gospel truth, is an idiot.” I think those two couldn’t have said it better. For the Republican party to continue to saddle up with these witless pundits is surely a strategy which can and most likely kill the Grand Old Party.

   Congratulations, you’re doing your part to stir the hatred, fear, and lies, bringing about the demise of the Republican party.
