Happy Thanksgiving
by Joe Wilson on November 26, 2009This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for you – all of you who stood by me during the unrelenting liberal attacks and who continue to fight alongside me for common sense conservative solutions to our nation’s problems.
I am very appreciative of all of the support you have shown me, and I want you to know that I will not back down in our fight against liberal, big-government policies that will worsen our nation’s problems. It is truly a privilege to represent the great people of South Carolina, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity.
I am also very thankful for the brave men and women who serve our nation in uniform. As a veteran of the South Carolina National Guard and the father of four sons who serve in our military, I am constantly inspired by the dedication they have and the sacrifices they make to fight for our freedoms.

I am very much looking forward to spending Thanksgiving Day in South Carolina with my family, especially my wife, Roxanne, our sons and wonderful grandchildren. It is a day that we all get to spend time together and count our blessings as a family.

Beyond the usual friends and family, good health and simple blessings. I am thankful for our military and their families. I am thankful to have been born into the greatest nation in the whole world. I long for a time when the US stops being so international, closes its borders and gets back to the basics of our Constitution. We have about 100 years of undoing entitlements but would be great if we were all on even footing with the same opportunities to fail or succeed. No one is forced to take care of others, they choose who they want to take of. Natural consequences for everyone. Work hard, live well. Slouch and suffer. Simple.
When you told Barak Obama ‘YOU LIE!” you spoke the truth many of us wanted to say. You were speaking for us.
Never apologize for speaking the truth. Keep on with what you are doing. You are a real man and we thank you for speaking up for the people of this great country!
YOU GO JOE! We are out here praying and getting involved. They awakened a sleeping giant. We are CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVES.
Thank God for you and fighting for those who believe in Him!!!

I am thankful for my family and friends and the blessing of being born an American.
I am thankful that we have citizens like you who speak out for what is right in America and oppose what is wrong. We will support you and others who respect our Constitution and our American culture and values.
I’m thankful that we have at least one politician with the courage, conservative convictions, and love for his country to stand up, “In Front Of All Americans”, and tell our president exactly what he is — “A Liar”.
I’m Thankful for our brave Soldiers and Marines serving us in this time. God Bless them and their Families.

I am thankful that we have Joe Wilson … a man strong and confident enough to stand up to that sad man we currently refer to as President.
I am extremely thankful for our troops. I think of them always … may God keep them safe.
I’m thankful that at least one representative in Congress (Joe Wilson) is brave enough to tell it like it is.
I am thankful that there are people standing up to our corrupt government. I love this country and my only child – son – has been serving in the U.S. Navy since 1993. I pray that good Americans will continue to stand up for our country. Joe Wilson is a shining light and told the truth. Our president is a liar and can not be trusted. Thank God for good Americans.
A new character will appear in book five. Joe, the outspoken Republican will challenge a ringleader at the podium.
I write stories about current events. Terrorism was high on the list. I finished a trilogy about the subject in 2008. Now it’s on to Ohio politics with SKIPPER. Published in October 2009, it’s another Republican leaning story.

I am thankful for Representatives like you that care enough to protect those of us who are willing to work for their food and shelter. I am thankful for your family. I’d imagine they pay a big price . I am thankful for their support of you.
I am thankful for my godson Colin, who has chosen to follow in the footsteps of his father and enlist in the Air Force for six years. The pride I have for this young man is immense. He chooses to serve his country and fight for our freeedoms, which are being challenged more and more each day by our government. I will continue to pray for Colin, Joe Wilson and those individuals who will not stand by idly to wait for the demise of our nation, but who stand tall as true Americans.
I also want to wish you a Belated Happy Thanksgiving as I haven!t use my computer since Thursday 11/25 until I came bach home today 11/29. Thanks again for all that you are doing, I!M with you 110%. all the luck Nick
We are thankful for our God, our family and friends – in Georgia and South Carolina, our country and the wonderful people who serve to keep us free. Our neice and nephew who is currently serving at Fort Campbell and Our son’s sister-in-law who is currently serving in Iraq are in our prayers. I am most thankful for my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I have always been most appreciative that I live in a free country, but I believe we are losing our liberties very quickly. It is very alarming to see how rapidly we are changing in this country. Evil is being recognized as good and good is now called evil. I’m thankful to live in a country where, thus far at least, we are able to worship God! I’m thankful for our military who lovingly and courageously fights to keep us safe. I’m thankful for family, the opportunity to work hard, progress and save for worthwhile goals such as education for my grandchildren.

Congressman Joe, Yes, we are very, very thankful to have our Nephew home from his Fourth tour as a Navy Seal. My wife and I sang David Foster/Josh Groban’s “THANKFUL” song this past two weekends at our church as part of the Veteran’s Day Month — and have received many, many, many thanks ourselves for sending this message of Thanks… thanks to David Foster’s incredible song, this helps us say “Thanks” to all those Men and Women who serve to give us Freedom here at home.

If Harold and I had not gone to your Town Hall Meeting in August on Lady’s Island in Beaufort, SC, we never would have understood what is going on with this socialist, fascist Administration that the American people elected! The healthcare issue really peaked our interest. Harold and I have never been very polically involved before, but your clarification of what this horrid bill is all about motivated us to further research and to investigate what is actually going on in our country and how we are being betrayed by our own government in accordance with the Cloward-Piven Strategy! The issue and danger is much more than just the government health care bill–it is about the collapse of our capitalistic system of government and our democracy, and it is totally against our Constitution and our Bill of Rights that our forefathers constructed for us.
We give thanks for our family and our country and our democracy and all our blessings that God has given us. We also give thanks for you! Joe, you are the Paul Revere who has ignited the flame of truth and is spreading it to all the people, as did Paul Revere did so many years ago. We give thanks for you this Thanksgiving so very much! I want you to know that I am not from the state of South Carolina; however, I applauded you for being an honest man, unafraid to speak the truth when you heard lies being passed on to the American people. Please continue to fight for this country. I and my family give profound thanks, everyday, for our great good fortune to be U.S. citizens. No longer “alone in our minds,” we are supported by the knowledge that untold millions of us, whatever our disagreements, “…hold these truths to be self evident…” and that whatever path we may wrongly choose now can be made right in the future. I am thankful that there are Americans still left in this country to appreciate it’s greatness and the principles that our forefather gave to each and every American born into or who have chosen to live in our proud country.
In addition I am most thankful for my husband of 25 years our daughters and granddaughter. But most thankful that God saw fit this year to grant our family a miracle. Our 24 year old daughter beat colon cancer this years and lives on to raise our granddaughter.

I am thankful that I still have a job and that I have had the good luck to have weathered these tough times. I am also grateful that I still have my 90 year old maternal grandmother with us. It was a joy to spend the day with her on Thanksgiving. What a wonderful woman.
Family, Friends and Country. Veterans, past and present, those in government who are not afraid to stand up for the rights of Americans and will listen to the people and vote accordingly. For common sense, which many are not using right now, but thankful that some still have it. For the hope of a better tomorrow for our nation, that good will win over evil and that God in His mercy will look down on us and bless us all. For freedoms that can never really be taken away. As I am too late to convey Thanksgiving wishes allow me to bid you an easrly Merry Christmas. As to being thankful, the medical attention I receive (without government intervention) is top-notch from MD’s of my choice.
They are keeping me in excellent shape for my advanced age.
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to you and your family. We are thankful this year for another successful back surgery for my husband, Nov. 19. We are also thankful for our beautiful daughters and their families. My father was a career U.S. Marine and my husband is retired U.S.A.F (weekend warrior) so we are truly grateful, and thankful for all our military personnel here and all over the world keeping us safe. We are also thankful for you Joe, our voice in Washington. We enjoyed seeing you at the Beaufort Tea Party last month.
