Happy Thanksgiving
by Joe Wilson on November 26, 2009This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for you – all of you who stood by me during the unrelenting liberal attacks and who continue to fight alongside me for common sense conservative solutions to our nation’s problems.
I am very appreciative of all of the support you have shown me, and I want you to know that I will not back down in our fight against liberal, big-government policies that will worsen our nation’s problems. It is truly a privilege to represent the great people of South Carolina, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity.
I am also very thankful for the brave men and women who serve our nation in uniform. As a veteran of the South Carolina National Guard and the father of four sons who serve in our military, I am constantly inspired by the dedication they have and the sacrifices they make to fight for our freedoms.

I am very much looking forward to spending Thanksgiving Day in South Carolina with my family, especially my wife, Roxanne, our sons and wonderful grandchildren. It is a day that we all get to spend time together and count our blessings as a family.

I called your house a few minutes after you spoke the truth, “YOU LIE”, and I left a message on your phone, congratulated you and sent a small token of money to your campaign. I hope you never back down & never change. BHO has been lying pre-election & post election. I can’t understand why impeachment proceedibgs have not been started against him. Check out his spending compared to all presidents all they way back to the 20′s.

I am thankful that we have at least a few real Americans and people of integrity, like you, Rep. Wilson, serving in Congress! Do not stop speaking out; continue to tell the truth and to champion authentic American political principles, as well as the traditional moral values upon which our nation was founded. One don’t see an Illegal’s sleeping in tent citys they all got a roof over their heads we are paying for. They are living better then a lot of Americans.
They wont speek english,working & not paying taxes,They are sending money back to their country,I see it in Bank of America.

I am thankful I was born in 1939 & lived most of my life when people loved this country . I’m glad I won’t live to see the USA brought down to a third world level. I’m sorry for our soldiers that are giving their lives—-for what?
Joe, I am grateful for those who stand up against tyranny and corruption, be it a good teacher who walks off the job because the school system is failing the students and refuses to hold them to standards, the congressman who speaks out against the leaders who are failing the people they are suppose to represent and the soldiers who spend years fighting a war without the resources to win, caught between doing what’s right and what their civilian leaders direct them to do.
As a student, I prayed in school; as a soldier, I prayed before battle; Today I pray, regardless of who it offends.
It’s time to put political correctness aside, and be grateful for what we had.

I am most thankful for my wonderful family which consists of 2 children and 6 beautiful grandchildren. Our youngest is 2 and is a special needs little boy but we love him dearly and he’s just our Jake. I’m also thankful for our brave men & women in the military who are fighting so hard to keep us free and safe. Never in my life have I ever heard a leader of my country apologize to other countries for our behavior, beliefs and/or actions! This saddens me greatly but I am so happy that we proud republicans stand united once again and have re-strengthened our spirit and drive. We have finally woke up again and won’t stop until we win! Thank you and please keep up the good work you are doing.
I am thankful for family, friends, and our great country. I am most thankful for people like YOU, Joe, who are true American heroes and freedom fighters. Also thankful for Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck for getting the conservative message out there. Keep up the good fight. Let’s save our great country from tyranny and oppressive, big government.
I am thankful for the manner in which I was raised: to respect my elders, to honor God, and to live by the Golden Rule. Today, those values seem to be lost; the general consensus appears to be “what’s in it for me”, and the government is more than eager to step in and offer them subsidies and grants and the foolish hands-out public don’t realize that this is slavery. If one really wants to understand how corrupt our government is and how it actually works, they should read a 1969 book by Drew Pearson and Jack Anderson titled “The Case Against Congress”; believe me, things have not changed, only gotten worse and more fraudulent. It is our fault; we have become too complacent and allowed dynasties to be set up in Washington where it has become a refuge for those who work for their own good and not this country’s citizens. I firmly believe that no change will happen in Washington until the people unite and refuse to pay taxes or be tax collectors for the government.
In the meantime, all of you, write letters to your local newspapers and continue to call and write your Congressmen. We need a few moe like Joe, and believe me, they are few and far between!
I am thankful to God, Country, Family, Friends, our Nations Service men and women, Courageous public servants like Joe Wilson and Lindsay Graham (and many many others), the millions of dedicated, talented, and competitive American Workers who make this country go, the public and private Business Leaders who get it right (like Dan DiMicco) and help those who get it done.
I am thankful that this country has at least one person in a responsible position (you, Joe Wilson) who had the courage to speak up at the proper time and speak the truth, as you did. Thank you, Joe.

Until this year, I didn’t like what Washington decided for us, Sometimes.
Now, I am offended and appalled at the blatant disregard for American Rights and choices for our country. We do not ALL agree with the President’s agenda. It sickens me to see him apologize for our Country! He is not speaking for me! Where is my voice and thousands like me that are in complete shock , almost every time President OBama opens his mouth. He never had me at. Hello!
Every one of you took an Oath to uphold and Defend the Constitution of Our Great United States. Thank God there are men and women in congress like you, with Integrity and Pride to do and say the right thing, no matter at what cost.
Your Momma Daddy, Wife & Children and extended family must be so proud of you. I know my family and I are. You are a Hero to us!

I live in North Texas and I wish my elected officials had your honest veracity. You owed nobody an apology, you only spoke the truth. You Sir, are a dying breed among politicians. We are in a sad state of decline and it is only getting worse with every pork laden, earmarked Billions of worthless American Dollars that is passed. I feel that we need to pull our involvement in most of our foreign campaigns to nations that don’t like or benefit us and concentrate on our dying economy. There will be no there to render aid to the US when we collapse and civil unrest is eminent unless our government acts NOW!!! You are on the front line and pray for you and the restoration of sanity to our great nation. Please, don’t back down, WE NEED YOU AND OTHERS LIKE YOU. God Bless you and God Bless America.
