I am a 49 month WWII veteran of the CWAC (Canadian.) Our small SigInt unit I understand was the only Canadian unit totally assigned to the War in the Pacific as a unit. In the latter months of the war our men were sent to Australia to more closely monitor the island traffic as the push headed for the Japanese mainland.
My husband was a medic in WWII (U.S. Army) recalled for Korea almost immediately following his college graduation. He was in the push into North Korea when his transfer for flight school came through and he served another 12 years in the Army Air Corps/USAF. God bless our men and women now in uniform, both sides of the border.
You go Joe!
I appreciate every current soldier and every veteran of our country for putting their lives on the line to protect our liberty. My prayers are with them and their families as I also know first hand about the sacrifice that their service represents. My husband served in Viet Nam in the late ’60s
I salute you all! God bless you and God bless America!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the sacrifices you have made to keep our country safe. All we do and acheive in our lives is because you have fought to keep our freedoms and liberties. You will always be in our prayers. We will never forget you. God bless you and your families.
I appreciate you and what you do for the Veterans. The reception wasn’t very cordial when I returned from Vietnam. Regarding the previous comments by Walter Palmer. Consider the source. Anyone who respects a do nothing president like Obama deserves what he gets with higher taxes, a useless healthcare bill along with a bucket full of lies to the American Public. Hats of to you for speaking up when we now know that he was, in fact, lying.
Dear Joe, i am so proud that you represent our great state of South Carolina. Sorry Walter go ahead and be ashamed you should be if you support this King that we know have running our country. My husband fought and Vietnam and what happened at Fort Hod was a terrible act from a terrible man. Walt why don’t you try living in the Great state of corrupt Government of Illinois you should fit right in there with all the others who are afraid to speak the truth or yeah they don’t know how. I should know I have a mother who is a politician there and I lived there for 35 years before moving to My great transplanted home state of South Carolina. Stand tall Joe We love you and believe me Walt’s little contribution will never out do all the people that signed the poster and donated to your campaign that I brought back to Lexington SC from Washington D.C. tea Partyfor you. So donate on Mr. Walt to Illinois they can always use a few more idiot corrupt people like you.
Thank you so much for protecting us. It is unfortunate that our government does not treat you as well as it does illegal aliens and other criminals in our system. I have many friends who have been injured and their lives changed forever. They gave it all just to protect us. What does the federal government do to them? Turn its back on them. Too bad that those who we elect don’t take care of our vets like they take care of themselves.
Words cannot say the THANKS enough for all that you give so bravely of yourself each day so that we can have the freedom that we live under. We need to thank each military person every time we seem them for what they do for our country.
Thanks for you time and efforts, they do not go un noticed.
May the Lord bless you and keep you in your fine service to our country. He is Master over all, and He has a plan for every one of us. Your tireless task is appreciated and honored by the millions of people you are striving to protect.
I too want to Thank all the men an women in uniform (past and present) as we give thanks to you for your sacrificial service to this Great land. God Bless You and God Bless America. My husband is a veteran and I am the sister of three veteral: Army and Navy.
The Old Glory flies proudly on our front porch to honor and recognize those who have served this country bravely, including my father in WWII, an uncle at the Battle of Bastogne, my husband in two tours of Vietnam, and all of the other brave men and women who are remembered today.
A military man/woman is someone who signs a blank check to their country, committing everything, including their lives. May God bless the fallen warriors and their families at Fort Hood. It did not have to happen.
Dear Walter Palmer,
Please reread the top of this page. This is about thanking our veterans, not about your indignation. Where are your thoughts about our veterans today?
Regards,
Reba
To those who serve and to those who have, my family would like to thank you for all you do and have done for all of us who love this country.
God Bless America.
THANK YOU!
PS: Happy Thanksgiving
As an Army brat and married to a Veteran I have the highest respect for our Veteran’s. Don’t worry we are fighting to remove the current anti-American from office.
The American forces are the best in the world and I intend on keeping it that way with a President that loves our country and loves are Veteran’s.
Keep up the good fight! You are in our prayers.
Jacque
Tampa, FL
May God bless those who have, and are, serving this – the greatest country on earth. To Walter Palmer, you should be ashamed of Mr. Obama for the way he treats the military. He does not support our troops and, much worse, has been responsible for the current state of the military. Congressman Wilson has apologized more than once, and I do not believe he needs to apologize again, or should have in the first place. What he said is the truth.
I am a Vietnam era veteran and have always been proud of my service. God bless Congressman Wilson and God bless America!
A note is really not enough, however, My wife ani I thank all of you for your service to our country. My wife’s father was killed in action while fighting for this Great country. Thank you, thankyou! We have another fight going on now IN our country. My wife and I know you did not fight for this country to see it become socialist or communist which is what our current president is trying to do. We ALL need to continue this fight also and I believe Mr. Wilson is one of those leading the way. Let’s fight for our freedom in this country. We can all do our part by signing up at Impeach Obama.com. God bless all of those who have fought for our country and our freedom….we salute all of you!
Thank you for all you have sacrificed to make the U.S. a wonderful nation. Many of us are working to preserve the nation you fought for…we must now fight to keep it a nation of the people, for the people and by the people…never forgetting what you gave up.
The one thing that America has always been able to count on was its military. Not the politicians but the military. Hopefully political correctness will not lead to other terrorist attacks like the one at Fort Hood. Our President won’t even call it what it was- a terrorist attack. God bless those who have served, those who are now serving, and for those who gave all.
To all of our service men and women
We can never say thanks enough for all each of you are doing.
Thanks for the sacrifices you are making being away from families, friends and loved ones. Being away from the country that you love so very much.
Thanks for fighting to protect our freedoms and our nation.
We love and apprciate each of you and what you are doing. We are praying for you each day that God will protect you and bring you safely home to your families.
We salute you and honor you and the ones who have gone before on this Veterans Day.
You All are The Greatest
THANKS
In the years that follow we hope that all of your hard selfless incredibly difficult time you have spent on our behalf is worth all that you have put forth. My daughter who is 12 came home today and called her grandfather to tell him she is so proud of him, to thank him; and that she loves him. With all of that for you as well if you are a grandfather or not. We tie our love in a great big giant bow and send it to you with all of our love and gratitude. Thank you for all you have done….It has not gone unnoticed or unforgotten the freedom we have everyday is because of you. I wish there was a better way to say thank you than just words…..If my heart could say anything it is singing a song of love and gratitude. May all of your days shine.
I am a Korean Vet. I know what it means to NOT be appreciated for the
efforts of the service men and women. We can thank each other and I want you all to know how badly I feel about the events that took place at Fort Hood.
Even more so. I spent the last year and a half of my enlistment at fort Hood
in the 4th Armored div. I received an Honorable discharge Dec. 6th 1956.
Obama is NOT MY PRESIDENT! Thank you again!!!
I am a US Air Force Viet Nam vet and proud to have served this great country for 8 years. To all honorable vets, I say God bless you and thanks.
Thanks Joe for speaking the truth on the floor of the house.
BTW, Walter is an idiot. Sorry, but true.
God Bless
I’m not a veteran, my father and brothers are. I want all veterans and thier families to know that I recognise and appreciate the sacrifice you all have made to maintain the Liberties and Freedom I enjoy every day in this great country. I also recognise, if it wasn’t for your acts of support, bravery, and sacrifice, my children and grandchildren would not be able to enjoy them either. Highest honor and regard is yours, not only today, but eveyday….. I salute you!!!!
Thank You!!!!!!!!
MEGA DITTO”S NAWANA ROSS
We may not let you know how special you are often enough, and for that I’m truly sorry. May God bless you and your families. Thank you for your service to our country. You are GREAT Americans!
Dear Joe
As a Viet Nam Vet , I would like to thank you for this e mail and your support of our veterans. It is nice to know that there are still people like you out there, especiaaly with this evil administration that we currently have trying to tear down this great country.
God bless you and best regards, Steve O’Neill
Dear Joe
As a Viet Nam Vet, I would like to thank you for this e mail and your support of our veterans. It is nice to know that we still have people like you out there, especially with this evil administration that we currently have trying to tear down this great country.

God Bless our Veterans!!
As a 21 year active Army Soldier, thanks to all of those others who are serving and those who have served before us. Thanks to the many who have spent the time to honor our military. It may be interesting to some who are not intimately familiar with the military to know that many rights of ordinary citizens are restricted to us in the military. Order and discipline mandates we have limited political activity. I believe that this limitation is essential for the proper function of our military. That is why I pray that others will be our voice at this critical time. Continue to stay active participants in our government processes. Support our brave leaders like Congressman Wilson. Thank you, and God bless America
And to Walter Palmer,
It is disrespectful to address a member of congress merely by his first name. I remember a certain General being chastised by Sen Boxer over less. Do you?
Your disrespect nullified the entirety of your comment. If it is your opinion and your intent to support Congressman Wilson’s future opponent then certainly that it your right. In fact, I am happy that you feel so strongly about such outbursts. But just so you won’t be labeled one sided, I suggest you do the same thing to Speaker Pelosi, Senator Reed, and Congressman Grayson. Because I believe you are a principled person, I’m sure you will support their opponents in the future as well.
Although our service personelle may be thousands of miles away, it is , as if they are right outside my bedroom window, trudging back and forth thru the snow, keeping watch over my home to keep me safe. I cannot even imagine the hardhips they must endure to keep “me” safe. For this, I do thank you and pray to God that He take care of you, there where you are. My heart goes out to you. For me, my kids, and my country. Thank You. Hope you have a real nice Christmas and Thanksgiving.
I want to apologize for Walter Palmer who earlier critisized you! He knows not what he is saying! I do not believe Barry Sotoro Obama is our Commandor-in-chief. He is a usurper. He is an empty suit. I thank God for what your were brave enough to say to Congress. I would liked to have been there to back you up. Yes, they lie! These people are so blinded from the truth it turns my stomach. I don’t know how they cannot see the truth. But, they do not want to see the truth until America is destroyed. b.o. is out to destroy America as fast as he can, but thank God there are patriots and Americans who will stand up for American and our Constitution and say what needs to be said. God Bless you and protect you Joe Wilson and may He always protect you. God Bless America (if it is not too late)…jv
I am 70 years old; I was born and grew up in this great country. In the last 20 years, and more especially in the last year I have seen this country transformed into something I no longer recognize as the beautiful United States of America.
But, there is one thing that has remained constant: The unbelievable courage, bravery, and sacrifice made by the young men and women who make up our Military forces. You not only protect us but you give us hope that this country does still embody the principles upon which it was founded;
You personify for us the true meaning of honor, bravery, character, and self sacrifice that sustains us in perilous times. Thank you so much for being who and what you are. There is no money, things, or words that can express our gratitude to you and your families. We ask God’s most precious blessings for you and your families. You are our “most precious”.
God bless our brave men and women of the armed forces, present, past and future. And god bless Frank Buckles. To you Walter I can only say, I think you missed something in your comment. You forgot to give your thanks to our armed forces that protect your right to spew your garbage and insult a great Americans like Congressman Wilson. Try doing the same thing in a socialist country and see how long it takes for the knock on your door.
I could not disagree with Walter Palmer’s comments more.
We are so fortunate to have so many brave men and women willing to serve and protect. Thanks to all of them…… current and past.
I would like to give kudos to Fox Sports for the wonderful show they did last Sunday from Afghanistan. The troops really got into it and you could see the emotion felt by Howie Long, Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson and the rest of the crew. At least three South Carolinians got to ask questions of the panel. Great job!!! The person that thought of that should get a raise.
Dear Joe,
I believe down deep in my heart after hearing Obama give his speech on the day of the Fort Hood shootings, that he is one of them, and really doesn’t care about America. He cannot say the word terrorist, and the speech he gave at the Memorial, he was just saying words. He is as one of your e-mails said, just an empy suit. He doesn’t care about America and I thank God for people like you. You have been so brave in what you believe in and stand for. My heart goes out to you and your family. Bless You!!!!!!
Thank You all!!!

I would like to thank all of our veterans and those still serving for all that you have done and are doing for the freedom and liberty that we all enjoy today. I wish all of you and your families the very best and that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you so much and may God Bless.
And thank you Joe for standing up for us, the American people. What you did and said that night was a bold statement for America. I wish you were my representative, unfortunately, mine is a Pelosi lap dog so called “blue dog”.
Deaar Vets:
I wish all a good Vets Day. The Korean conflict paid my way thjrough school.
Hang in, it will get better.
