• Joe Wilson Wants Legislation to Raise Military Pay

by Joe Wilson on January 14, 2010

On Wednesday, 2nd District Congressman Joe Wilson introduced legislation that would raise basic military pay by 1.9 percent by 2011.

“The brave men and women in our military deserve just recognition for the extraordinary and courageous work they do to protect American families by defeating terrorists overseas,” said Wilson.

The Republican says he introduced the legislation in order to help close the gap between civilian and military pay.

“I look forward to working this year to honor the tremendous sacrifice made by our brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen,” said Wilson.
