Around 60 people got together for breakfast with Joe Wilson at scenic Jasper’s Porch in Ridgeland Thursday morning.

On the menu, biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage and most importantly, jobs!

Day three of the Joe Means Jobs tour focused on continuing to reach out to people and learn more about different strategies businesses are using in these tough economic times.

The breakfast crowd came hungry, and they posed some tough questions for the very accessible Wilson.

While addressing the high unemployment rate in parts of the Lowcountry, Wilson says government must allow businesses to have higher depreciation deductions.  He also talked about how as an elected leader he has played a role in landing the Boeing 787 Dreamliner plant to North Charleston.  Taking a question on tax incentives, Joe said he supports them, realizing states compete with each other to lure companies.

Joe’s lengthy day also meant trips to a recycling company, lumber yard, convienence store and a whole lot more.   Joe Means Jobs and he is going to continue to work hard for the people of South Carolina!
