• Thank You

by Joe Wilson on February 4, 2010

    Dear Friends,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of the support you have shown for this campaign over the past few months. Because of you, I was able to keep up the fight against the liberal Democrats in Washington and did not allow them to quiet our voices as we spoke out against their big government, big spending policies.

I am looking forward to continuing to fight for you throughout 2010. What do you hope we can achieve together this year? Leave a comment below and let me know.

I am also humbled and very grateful for the financial support you have given the campaign. In the fourth fundraising quarter of 2009, a majority of the money my campaign raised came from grassroots supporters like you who are tired of the arrogance in Washington.

Your commitment motivates me every single day. I look forward to continuing to fight alongside you for common sense conservative principles in Washington.

What do you hope we can achieve together? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts.

    Sincerely,

    Joe Wilson
    U.S. Representative

P.S. I am humbled by your support and look forward to working with you to bring common sense conservative principles to Washington. What do you hope we can achieve together this year? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts.

      Dear Joe,

I am a Florida resident who does not live in your state or district. I have no connections to your state. I contributed to your campaign because I was impressed by your willingess to speak up to make sure that the truth was known.

The courage you showed in calling a lie a lie is commendable and I for one appreciate your efforts. I will be making another contribution in the near future in the hope that it will help allow you to continue to be a voice for all true Americans. As you are probably aware, I also make a contribution to Scott Brown who does not represent my state either.

American voters need to understand that our country’s Congressmen’s actions affect all of us and not just those living in their associated states and districts.

I will be supporting any congressman who supports my conservative views.

      Tom

What I want for this coming year you can find on my site, Rose Welch for Congress 2010 CA-37! I just cannot sit back and take it any longer.

It will be an honor to serve my constituents here. It will also be an honor to work with men such as yourself. Have a nice day.

Thank you….your honesty and willingness to be counted is valuable.

God bless. Wish we had a congressman like you here in the 12th distrct of Georgia. John Barrow is a spinless liberal jerk who can’t say no to pelosie. As you know. he voted to increase the national debt. He’s part of the problem, not part of the solution. We are going to do all we can here in this district to vote him OUT this fall. Please keep up your GOOD work.

    10. Jayne Morgan says:

I want our country back and out of the hands of these terrible people. They have no respect for our laws and trample on them everyday.

    11. Dave says:

      Hello Joe Wilson:

I appreciate your determination to “fight for common sense conservative principles in Washington.”

Hopefully you and other like-minded individuals will be able to convince the indecisive leader of your party, Michael Steele, to optimistically do likewise.

Otherwise, if he continues to state publicly that he doubts that Republicans can take back the House and Senate in the elections this November, he should resign to be replaced by a true conservative whose prime objective is to regain control of Congress!

A certain prime speaker tonight at the Tea Party Convention would be an ideal replacement to successfully lead the Republican Party back to prominence.

    12. sarah says:

I live in california, self-employed and Sick of the high tax, free service for illegals. I want honest leadership in washington.
I’m support the tea party, I’m sick of dishonest GOP leaderships as well as the DEMS.I don’t want to listen
to double talk. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Amen

    13. Joe, if we had more representatives like you our country would not be in the deep dodo, we now find ourselves in. Keep up the good fight, we are behind you even tho we don’t live in your state.

FYI Brown supported and voted for Universal Heath Care in Mass

I just want to thank you for standing up for Americans. I live in Texas, but I totally support you and Scott Brown. We need to take our America back from the far left liberals. I have never watched politics before August 2009. I was always too busy, but now I watch Fox news every day for the news. The TV shows on the regular channels just don’t seem important enough for me to watch.

Thanks again and God Bless You.

    21. michael says:

      TO k STEWART
THANKS FOR YOU OPENLY ANTI SEMETIC VIEWS AT LEAST YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO SAY IT.NOT LIKE THESE RACIST WHITE CHRITIIAN I READ ON HERE .CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE SAYING I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK MEANS. IS IT A DOG WHISTLE OF SOME SORT?

    22. Ruth Glover says:

I can tell you what “want my country back” means.
We want a president and a congress that tells the truth and respects the will of the people of the land.
We want them to respect the tax dollars they collect from hard working people and not to spend it on goffy things or use it for their own private slush fund.
We want them to respect the future of our children and grand children and not put them into a debt they can never hope to repay.
They have broken faith with us.
We are sick of the corruption and favortism in high places.
This ain’t my America. Perhaps it is yours.
      May God bless the USA.
      Ruth

    23. M. Simms says:

I would like to see a single payer healthcare plan so that all Americans can have insurance, rather than one which is run by big companies, making huge profits while Americans die because of decisions made by insurance companies with more regard for profits than lives.
I would like to see congressmen lose their government insurance plans and be added to the population with no or low quality insurance…..maybe then we would see some results.

    24. Eleanor Tillman says:

Thank you, Joe, for being the only man brave enough to speak the truth. You have my unwavering support. God be with you in this crucial time in the history of our country. I wish we could multiply you by the thousands. I never realized until Obama was elected how many people in our country are so poorly educated regarding our Constitution and our magnificent history as a nation of free people. Be of good courage in the battle ahead.

    25. Chuck Herzog says:

      Congressman Wilson,

Please continue to be yourself and assure that we are safe from terrorist or any other threats. Reform healthcare in meaningful, positive, incremental steps. Push common-sense, proven methods of strengthening our economy. Cut waste in government and cause projects to be judged on overall merit, not earmark wishes. Compromise properly in bipartisan efforts, but oppose without pause socialist-type agenda items of the Obama liberals.

I trust that your instincts are correct-stay with them and be our voice of reason and patriotism.

    26. Jim Ryan says:

We need to continue to purge our ranks of the libs and RINO’s. O’Bummer I think is starting to realize that he is a “one termer”. Please keep up the great work!

    27. Betty says:

      Hello Congressman Wilson,

We need to come back to true conservative values, or the party is dead.
Transparency and bipartisanship are not working in DC. We all know that.
There will be a lot of House and Senate changes in November 2010.
People are fed up. And, again in 2012, hopefully he will be gone. We need a strong businessman/woman/strong military individual to run against President Obama. That is our only hope in beating this man and running him out of office. If that doesn’t happen, then we’ll have him again for another four years and the country will continue to deteriorate further. Jobs creation is number 1 for this President and stalling it will only create a handout society even worse than it already is. Also, the nation’s security should be top priority for the safety of its citizens.
      Thanks for listening.
Good luck to you Congressman Joe Wilson in your re-election.

    28. Ramona says:

In this coming year I would like to see an undoing of everything this Congress has managed to actually do. Every Representative (And especially ALL NON-Representatives) in Washington need a copy (small) of the CONSTITUTION and they need to be REQUIRED to read it and then HAVE to take a test on it that proves that they know what it says. If they fail – they need to immediately leave office and let a new person TRY this simple test.

    29. Ramona says:

By the way Joe – I forgot to tell you (as I always do) – God Bless you and yours and THANK YOU for being there for us in this disgusting pig sty we call Washington these days. Please hang in there and keep up the good work – we have so few there that do good work for our country – we need REAL MEN like you. Please – don’t be “nice” and never “cave” and keep doing what you are doing.

    30. jim matvia says:

Has the thought of breaking up corruption in Washington mean anything to the honest Senators and Congressman and Congresswomen? It is tangled web of sorts! I can’t see why ousted members who have served can come back to take positions as a lobbyist! The Webster dictionary : persons who seek to influence legislators. I think it is time to investigate the lobby industry!

    31. Pat S says:

Hi Joe, thanks for all you do. Keep up the good fight. You would be totally amazed at how many Americans feel the same way you do. We all know that Obama is a liar and anti American.

And we definitely need to eliminate czars or anyone like them and term limits more than anything else to stop this corrupt Congress. Get back to the CONSTITUTION!

      Thanks again…

    33. Dan Welch says:

Joe Wilson keep up the fight. We need to take back America from the left wing nuts that continue apologize for the United States being the leading nation in the world to protect liberty and freedom. We the people need your strong voice in Congress to defend individual rights and to require individual responsibility. We need you to fight against increasing government control and interference in our daily lives. We need you to fight against the administration and the liberal left that use a system of entitlements (bribes) to encourage big government and think nothing of promising whatever is necessary to secure the votes to keep themselves in power. I will continu to contribute to your campaign although I am not a resident of your state because I firmly believe that without Representatives like you that will stand up to the tyranny of the Democratic majority we are doomed as a nation.

    34. Judith Mallory says:

      Dear Joe,

Thank you for your courage in speaking out even though “it popped out” that the President was lying. Many of us know he lies and it was time that the rest of the country heard the truth about him. I am not from your state nor Scott Brown’s nor Rubio’s yet have and will continue to support all three of you and others who have the courage to voice their convictions. I became a precinct delegate in the early 80’s to add my voice to the conservatives in the Republican party. That is what is needed today…more conservatives becoming precinct delegates in the Republican party to take it back from the RHINOs who are no different than the liberal Dems. It is the precinct delegates who determine what the national party platform will stand for and choose who in the party will represent them on the ballot. Please encourage your supporters to contact their county clerk’s office to find out what they need to do to get their names on the ballot as precinct delegates and then do it. Fight from within the party not just from outside the party and let’s have a REAL conservative party with courageous people willing to fight for America.

    35. Eric Warner says:

      EDUCATE THE YOUTH!
I’m a young Conservative in my 20s’ and I too want to see the progressive liberals stopped immediately! I want NO part in experiencing more “fundamental transformation of America”! I am extremely disappointed with the progressive legislation of the past and I oppose all further compromises with progressives in the future. We have only everything to lose if we participate in such affairs.

    36. Vivek Bhargava says:

      I am a lifelong Republican.

It is unfortunate that our party cannot attract a stronger candidate in South Carolina’s 2nd House District than someone prone to outbursts…both against colleagues and sitting presidents.

Now more than ever, we need an elevated conversation in this country, apparently one that you are not capable of engaging in. Just as governing from the far left is an error, so is governing from the far right. Most disingenuous are those who campaign from the right only to gain political ground while sacrificing our collective American ideals.

Joe, my only regret as a Republican, is that I can not vote against you during the next term election. I pray that our party is able to muster the strength and courage necessary to rid ourselves of dead weight extremists so that we can once again get on with the business of righting the errors made over the last nine years.
