A simple signature and check for the required filing fee is all it took for Joe Wilson to officially continue his fight for constituents in the Second District.

joefiling1Accompanied by his wife Roxanne, Joe filed as a candidate in the Second Congressional District Friday morning at the South Carolina Republican Party Headquarters.

No big ceremony, no fanfare, the real work is ahead.  Joe is looking forward to his many visits throughout the Second District, spreading his jobs-focused message.

Joe will be hosting a health care repeal and reform pledge signing Monday March 29 at noon at his West Columbia campaign headquarters.

Joe will be signing a pledge to repeal and reform the health care legislation that was pushed through by liberal Democrats last weekend.  According to a business group poll, the bill could kill more than 1 million jobs.  Major US employers like John Deere, Caterpillar and Verizon have all recently said the Democrats health bill will drive up expenses and ultimately cost jobs and raise prices on consumer goods.

    1. George says:

President Obama is our country’s president, not just the Democrats’ president. Like every president before him he deserves respect for his office. We are lucky to be living in a country where dissent is not only allowed, but essential. However, there is a place and time for everything. This is the time that the US must unify and become stronger together. That means that all of our citizens must have basic rights upheld. All Democrats do not support everything party-related. And all Republicans do not endorse everything GOP. I want to hear your ideas and understand various perspectives on what is best for the country. However, I firmly believe that when you disrespect our President, you disrespect what our country stands for. Likewise, when you characterize those who disagree with you as somehow less than you, your message becomes diluted Please go forward with respect for the President and for those who do not hold your views. Thank you.
