Afternoon Drive Host Keven Cohen was joined by Columbia TV anchor Judi Gatson for a lively one hour discussion on health care. Cohen pointed out that several Democrats were invited but either chose not to attend or had scheduling conflicts.
Joe tackled the first question about concerns over the government health care takeover. Citing a study by the National Federation of Independent Business, Joe says the group study showed 1.6 jobs could be killed because of the government health care takeover.
Joe mentioned there’s even been a study that up to 5 million jobs could be lost because of the increased taxes and mandates on businesses.
When asked if there was anything he liked about the bill the Democrats rammed through Congress, Joe said he supports the provision that allows people with pre-existing conditions to be covered by insurance.
But a couple of ideas Joe has pushed for include allowing people to buy insurance across state lines and clamping down on outrageous were left out of the government health care takeover.

“The Democrats bill was supposed to be rushed through in July,” Joe said. “I credit the new media, twitter, facebook and other outlets that allowed people to discuss the bill and really find out what was in this bill. Once people found out this massive expansion of government was proposed, they rose up and said no.”
Joe told listeners he’s deeply concerned about the increased budget deficits that Nancy Pelosi and her gang of Democrats keep racking up. Such a big debt is crippling the value of the dollar and hurting our future generations.
