• President Still Not Listening To You!

With people costumed in white coats flanking him as props, President Obama’s remarks on health care today were a continued show for the cameras instead of the reality that Americans have rejected a government-takeover of health care.

The President says the need to regulate the insurance industry and add government red tape in health care is far more important than listening to America’s overwhelming plea that more government-control of health insurance is not needed now or anytime in the future.

“Democrats and Republicans engaged in a very public and substantive discussion, since then every idea has been put on the table, every argument has been made,” the President told his invited guests Wednesday.

Saying that the GOP’s ideas have been given consideration is laughable since the President and the liberal-Democrat majority in Washington have not acknowledged them for over a year.

Just last week the President accused Republicans of using “props” when they had the actual 2400-plus page health bill on the table. Democrats spoke twice as long as Republicans at the so-called “bipartisan health summit.”

The reality is liberal Democrats have pushed through this health bill with back room deals, special carve-outs for certain states and now want to ram through legislation that will be a job-killer. If the health bill were so good, why did the US Senate push it through late on Christmas Eve, a time when most folks were with their families and not monitoring the DC liberals.

President Obama admitted his plan won’t be cheap. Guess who’ll pay for that?

Republican ideas like letting you shop for insurance from companies across state lines are being shut out of the Democrats back room health deal. Instead of encouraging more free markets and more competition, President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid want to add more government bureaucrats into the health care system.

A proposal by Joe Wilson to force members of Congress to require them to be covered under the Obama health plan was stripped out of the final health bills. If the liberals running Congress think this is such a great plan, why don’t they want it for themselves?

In his remarks the President said, “make your voice heard.” Is he paying attention?

You have been trying to make your voices heard: at tea parties, in town halls throughout South Carolina and around the country, in the Virginia and New Jersey elections and very loudly in Massachusetts with the election of Scott Brown as the ’41st’ vote. Unfortunately, the President just isn’t listening. He is still pushing a government-takeover of health care.

Joe Wilson vows to continue to stand up for policies that will allow small businesses and entrepreneurs to create more jobs and will fight against big government. Please join Joe in the cause for real reform in Washington!
