More Lowcountry Take Joe to Work
by Team Wilson on June 2, 2010If James Brown was the “hardest working man in showbusiness,” after today, Joe Wilson is going to compete for the title of “hardest working Congressman.”

After working at AGM Imports in Hardeeville and then having a town hall meeting with voters in Sun City Wednesday morning, Joe’s work shifted to Hilton Head for two afternoon events.
David Burke of Burke’s Pharmacy submitted a job for Joe on TakeJoetoWork.com. Joe visited the family-owned pharmacy and learned all about the automated prescription dispenser and how to work the cash register.
Co-Owner David Burke told Joe about the pressures of being a family-owned small business and all the big government regulations and restrictions he follows. Burke also introduced Joe to some future pharmacists who are doing their summer internships at this well-respected Hilton Head small business.

Joe’s day on Hilton Head Island wasn’t done just yet. No beach time for him; it was time to do some more work.
Another TakeJoetoWork.com website submission came from Hilton Head Signs. Client Services Manager Jocelyn Staigar informed Joe about their unique machine that can take a computerized logo and put it into a fiber-wood type surface. Hilton Head Signs quality work is in demand, they ship their products across the globe to remain competitive.

Joe’s job for this stop was painting a sign for Colleton River Plantation. Many of the communities on Hilton Head Island rely on Hilton Head Signs for custom work.
“I am so glad to know we have so many quality small businesses in the Lowcountry that not only make quality products, but supply them across the country and in some case, around the world,” Joe said.

Take Joe to Work week isn’t done yet. Up next, visits to Aiken, Allendale and Barnwell.
