GOVERNMENT WATCHDOG GROUP RANKS JOE WILSON A “TAXPAYER HERO.”

Ranking highlights Joe’s ongoing Cut The Fat efforts.  Wilson to host tele-town hall tonight focused on spending cuts.

(West Columbia, S.C.) – Joe Wilson has earned the title of “taxpayer hero” from the government watchdog group Council for Citizens Against Government Waste. (CCAGW) The group credits Wilson for standing up for families and small businesses.

In comparison, the two Democrat members of the South Carolina delegation both scored a whopping 0% when it came to protecting taxpayers.

“I am grateful the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste informs the public of the many tax and spending measures we must fight against,” Wilson said.  “As I often say, it’s the people’s money and we need more folks who share this line of thinking in Washington.  Cutting spending and reducing taxes are the two keys to getting more people back to work.”

The CCAGW calls Wilson’s ranking “a true testament of (Wilson’s) willingness to stand up for American taxpayers.”

Wilson’s listing as a “taxpayer hero,” is well-timed, since tonight Joe will be hosting a tele-town hall on ways to cut federal spending.
