Nationally, the group is the leading small business association with members in all 50 states. “I am proud to stand up for small businesses and to fight for lower taxes which are vital in this tough economic time,” Wilson said at Monday’s endorsement. “The NFIB is a bottom-up organization, member small businesses are the ones who guide the NFIB and they truly are the voice of small business. I am also grateful the NFIB has joined in the lawsuit with so many other states to stop the job-killing government healthcare takeover.” Local NFIB small business owners joined Wilson during Monday’s announcement. “The NFIB SAFE Trust is proud to endorse Congressman Joe Wilson based on his lifetime record of supporting small businesses,” NFIB South Carolina Director J.J. Darby said at today’s event. “His seal of approval by our PAC board shows we’re standing with Joe just like he has stood with small business.” Wilson’s platform of tax cuts, repealing the government healthcare takeover and cutting discretionary spending by 20% are keys to helping small businesses get back on their feet and start hiring again in this tough economy.
