JOE WILSON’S POSITIVE AGENDA TO CREATE JOBS INCLUDED IN NATIONAL GOP PLAN.

GOP’s Pledge to America unveiled today, Wilson supports plan.

(West Columbia, S.C.) – Much of Joe Wilson’s Joe Means Jobs and Cut The Fat plans are included as central components of the House Republican leadership’s new Pledge to America which was announced today.

The Pledge focuses on creating more jobs across America by extending tax cuts to working families and small businesses, repealing job killing mandates such as Obamacare and cutting discretionary spending.

“Bigger government is not the solution to creating more jobs in South Carolina,” Wilson said.  “I am pleased to see our party present a positive agenda for creating jobs through tax cuts and cutting wasteful spending.  The Joe Means Jobs tour has enabled me to walk in the shoes of so many workers across the district.  I understand families and small businesses need tax relief and that’s what makes both the Joe Means Jobs Plan and Pledge to America so important.”

Facts from the Pledge to America:

·         Stop all job-killing tax hikes, make 2001 & 2003 tax cuts permanent.

·         Allow a 20% small business tax deduction.

·         Repeal & replace Obamacare

·         GOP spending cuts will save $100 billion in first year alone.

·         Stop any future so-called “stimulus” spending.

·         Impose net federal hiring freeze of non-security employees in federal government.

·         End gov’t control of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, saving up to $30 billion.

·         Mandate that bills to fund the troops be stand-alone.

·         Strengthen border security & tighten visa security.

·         Try all terrorism suspects in military, not civilian courts.
