Wilson to speak at “Fire Pelosi” event at USC
by Team Wilson on September 17, 2010(West Columbia, SC) – Joe Wilson will join RNC Chairman Michael Steele on the “Fire Pelosi” bus and then address a crowd at the University of South Carolina for the Fire Pelosi rally. The event starts at 1:30pm at the Capstone Building at 915 Barnwell Street. The Republican National Committee is sponsoring the tour and Chairman Michael Steele will be speaking in addition to Congressman Wilson.

Wilson spoke at the kick-off earlier this week in Washington D.C. and was featured on the cover of “Roll Call” Magazine. Joe is proud to be part of the event today at his alma mater, USC.
“It is no secret that Nancy Pelosi and her liberal allies have targeted me for standing up for conservative values,” Wilson said. “Speaker Pelosi has even donated $2,000 to the liberal Democrat opponent in this race. It is time common sense people across South Carolina tell Nancy Pelosi that they have had enough of her job-killing policies and it’s time for new leadership.”
South Carolina values and Pelosi’s liberal San Francisco values simply don’t go together. Speaker Pelosi and her gang of liberals want to raise taxes at the end of the year. By not extending the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, people of all income brackets will be giving more of their hard-earned money to the government.
Raising taxes while more than 14 million people are out of work is flat out wrong and will kill jobs at a time when leaders need to be creating jobs.
Joe Wilson is committed to adding more jobs to South Carolina. During his ongoing Joe Means Jobs tour, Joe Wilson is traveling throughout the Second District, meeting with small business owners and workers. Joe is discussing free-market ways to get people back to work, including tax cuts, cutting discretionary spending by 20% and repealing the government healthcare takeover and replacing it with real reforms.
