Tonight, President Obama delivered his State of the Union address and spoke about winning the future. We can talk about winning the future, but it starts with limiting government spending, cutting the debt, and creating jobs, today.

Tonight, you heard President Obama speak about “investing” in our economy. Unfortunately, this is simply more liberal rhetoric for wasteful Washington spending.

This past November, voters demanded a change in course. Americans demand free market solutions and job creating policies.

I agree with the President that we should be looking to the future, but we need to focus on today’s priorities.

Winning the future means not wasting one more taxpayer dollar. Winning the future means helping the small businesses that create jobs in our communities. Winning the future means making our government more accountable.
